Opportunities for Success

 

Parents and students are encouraged to frequently checked grades.  It is the best way to find out what assignments students are missing and need to be made up.

 

Laptops are used every day.  Bring it to class. 

 

Most of my assignments are posted on my school Website and/or CANVAS.

 

To work on new vocabulary and expressions we use a website called Quia.  Students can do these assignments several times and this really helps with practicing the language.  I only take the HIGHEST grade that students make.  I encourage students to take advantage of this asset by doing the assignments over either during given class time or at home (if Internet is available).

 

-       ALL work is graded.  If a student misses one day, it is very important that he/she makes it up.  The majority of assignments are posted on Canvas, so check for the date you missed and submit. 

-       If a student fails a quiz or a test, or they just want to make a higher grade on it, within a week of that test or quiz, they can retake/redo it.

 

To provide extra help, I offer after school remediation to students every day.    During this time, any student that wants to improve his or her grades on any assignment, especially quizzes and tests, can make them up. 

Also, during this time, students who have difficulties in writing could take an oral equivalent quiz or test with me.
